External collaborations have helped to produce some exciting new papers (1) on image processing tools for experimental data (see paper on spam in JOSS) and (2) insight into, and modeling tools for studying, the mesoscale mechanics of concrete (see paper in Cement and Concrete Research).

Zhai and Hurley publish PNAS paper
